With this painting I wanted to try something a little bit different and create something that looks like a slumbering face right into a very abstract and cubist landscape. I like to believe that I was successful in creating something that truly has a very unique presence and personality to it.
The abstract nature behind the face itself, blended along with techniques that I have already been experimenting with really do kind of give this painting a life in itself, but will also bring true personality to any room that its in.
For this particular painting, and truthfully for alot of paintings that I have created in this type of a style I have almost always taken a great deal of influence from Pablo Picasso. This painting was done in both Acrylics and Oil Paint, and was done on a 20" by 24" stretched canvas. This painting is also very light, so if needed it can hang on a thumbtack.
