I tend to really like making these kinds of paintings because its more than just an excuse to let go and see is produced. But more-so its a chance to experiment with different types of strokes and different types of technique. Importantly though, what I like about creating paintings like these is the chance to experiment using unorthodox tools, in this case a coke bottle.
That's right, this painting was created using pieces from a broken down coke bottle to see what could be produced. Aside from that, in its own way its exceedingly unique and has its own personality. There is also something which is amazing about these kinds of paintings as well in just its own way of speaking to you. In its texture, its technique, its color and its sense of urgency.
And maybe its just me, but I can totally see this painting in a teenagers or a punk fan's bedroom.
This painting was done a 16" by 20" stretched canvas.
