In this painting, very much like another painting I did with a very similar theme and style I wanted to create an image of a landscape at night and also create that type of a jackson pollock splatter on top for the sky which gives the painting a very interesting feel to its environment.
Something else I wanted to experiment however with this painting was using sparkles for the sky but also for the reflections in the water. Once again attempting to include that extra dimension and character to the painting which otherwise could not have really been done.
Personally I Like to think that the experiment worked quite well, There really is that sense of a lonely night but also that the stars shine and the you can see that reflection in the water.
The Painting itself is done on a 24" by 36" stretched canvas and is surprisingly light . It can hang on a thumbtack if truly necessary.
