So after the success of the Artrageous Tech. 0Event that I took a part of last year in the Arts Project, Now the Tap on Creative it became very clear that people fell in love with the idea of a painting that was inspired off of Rene Magritte's Son of Man Painting. (You know the one I'm talking about, the one with a man with an apple over his face wearing a suit and bowler hat) But reinterpreted with a storm trooper helmet.
Many people wanted to see this idea continued, so that is exactly what I did and what I created for this small series of paintings. In its own way, its powerful, unique, compelling, iconic and yet at the same time classical. More than anything I am simply glad that something which spoke and inspired me, has been able to inspire others just as much.
Thus the idea for this collection, this series of painting was born. The entire collection could be called the "Sons of the new republic" considering that the last painting that was made I called the "Son of the republic"
This particular painting is unique in itself among the others created in this series of paintings because it is an inverted version of that same painting. This painting being done in inverted colors, already makes it very unique and will definitely bring any room or wall begging for artwork almost seem alive. This is a painting with true personality and its own life in all of its own.
This painting was done in acrylic paint, on a 16" by 20" stretched canvas and is very light. If necessary it could even hang on a thumbtack.
